Ο Δρ Βασίλειος Κουλούντζος είναι Διδάκτορας του Παιδαγωγικού Τμήματος Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης του Α.Π.Θ. με θέμα της διατριβής του: «Η χρήση του διαδικτύου στην εκπαίδευση. Μια εφαρμογή στον επιστημονικό γραμματισμό». Πτυχιούχος Παιδαγωγικής Ακαδημίας Λάρισας και του Τμήματος Φυσικής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Παρακολούθησε μαθήματα στο Μεταπτυχιακό Τμήμα Ραδιοηλεκτρολογίας και Επιστήμης Υπολογιστών στο τμήμα Φυσικής του Α.Π.Θ. Συνεργάζεται με την ερευνητική ομάδα ΑΤΛΑΣ του Παιδαγωγικού Τμήματος Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης του Α.Π.Θ.

Στα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα συμπεριλαμβάνονται η ανάπτυξη λογισμικού, on-line διατάξεων, διαδικτυακών περιβαλλόντων μάθησης και παραμετροποίηση αυτών για την εξ αποστάσεως και τη διαδικτυακή διδασκαλία των Φυσικών Επιστημών στο επίπεδο της πρωτοβάθμιας, δευτεροβάθμιας και τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης.

Έχει δημοσιεύσει πάνω από τριάντα εργασίες σε τόμους πρακτικών διεθνών συνεδρίων με κριτές και περιοδικά, συνέγραψε κεφάλαια σε αγγλόφωνα και ελληνόφωνα βιβλία καθώς και επιμελήθηκε τα πρακτικά του παγκοσμίου συνεδρίου IHPST2011.
