Dr Eleni Maria Kouimtzi is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff in the School of Primary Education. She studied Early Childhood Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued her postgraduate studies at UCL Institute of Education, United Kingdom. She received her PhD in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Her main research interests include school difficulties, learning disabilities, school success, gender issues in education, qualitative and quantitative research methods.
