Dr Vassilis Koulountzos is a physicist and a teacher. He attended postgraduate courses of Radioelectrology and Computer Science. He holds a PhD in science education entitled: “The use of the Internet in education. Applications in Scientific Literacy”. He is a member of the ATLAS research group of the School of Primary Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has participated as a researcher in more than seven International and European research programs. His research focuses on the development of software, on-line devices (IoT), web-based learning environments and their configuration for distance learning and web science teaching at the level of primary, secondary and tertiary education. He has presented over 30 papers in international conferences and he has published as a co-author and co-editor 3 books in science education and IHPST2011 conference proceedings.
