Periklis Pavlidis is a professor in Social Theory and Philosophy of Education at the School of Primary Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

He studied history at the Faculty of History of the Lomonosov Moscow State University and got a PhD degree in Philosophy at the same University. The title of his dissertation is “The social-ethical ideal of K. Marx (Until the beginning of 1848)”.

His research interests include Marxist social theory, philosophical and social issues of education, as well as theoretical problems of knowledge.

His scientific work has been published in Greek, English, Russian and other languages.
