Aristotelis Zmas is currently Senior Assistant Professor in “Comparative Education” at the School of Primary Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Secretary of the Comparative Education Society in Europe (CESE).

He has graduated from the same University (School of Philosophy, Education and Psychology) and has a PhD from the University of Bonn (Institute of Education).

He has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the European University Cyprus and as a freelance lecturer at various Universities in Greece and Cyprus.

His expertise and interests include comparative education, international education, educational governance, and European educational policy. He has worked on a number of European research projects focusing on educational governance and management.
