General Information
Specific admission requirements
a) Written exam in one of the three fields of study
- Society, Education and Pedagogy
- Teaching of Language and Literature
- Teaching of Sciences
b) Certified proficiency in English, French or German or written exams in one of these languages.

The MA title is awarded to students who have attended sufficiently 4 academic semesters. Attendance is compulsory in the first 3 semesters, while in the fourth semester students write up their Dissertation (MasterThesis).
Class attendance is obligatory; no more than 3 absences are allowed for each course. A student passes a course if he/she has attended sufficiently and has received a pass grade (6-10) in the final assessment.
Before the end of the third semester, students select and propose a topic for their dissertation (MasterThesis) in consultation with the supervisor. The topic must correspond to the field of study.
The dissertation is submitted at the end of August and publicly supported by the end of October.
Professional status (if applicable)
For professional employment in the public or private sector, graduates are covered with the MA Degree.

Access to doctoral degree.

Grading scale is as follows (Υ.Α. Φ. 1231/Β1/425, ΦΕΚ 1099/2000/B, άρθρ. 60)::
Excellent (8.5-10), (Α)
Very good (6.50-8.49), (Β)
Good (6-6.49), (C)
Fail (0.00-5,99) (F)
The minimum passing grade is six.
Graduation requirements
4 full exams, 120 ECTS
A full academic year of studies is equivalent to sixty (60) ECTS, each semester to thirty (30) ECTS (1 ECTS= 25-30 hours) in accordance with the Greek Law (Ministerial Decision Φ5/89656/Β3, ΦΕΚ 1466/2007/Β, article 1-3) and the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. Each course carries the required number of ECTS (>= 2 ), which reflects the required work load for the successful completion of the course, lab, practicum, etc.
