Dimitra Markou is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (LTS) of the School of Primary Education, Department of Pedagogy and Social Exclusion. Her duties include the preparation, organization, and realization of the Practical Training of the students of the Department.
She is a graduate of the School of Primary Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with many years of experience as a teacher in primary education. Holder of a Master’s Degree in Education from the School of Humanities of the Hellenic Open University and a Certificate of special training in Distance Education of Adults. Also holder of a Doctoral Diploma (Ph.D) from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Western Macedonia.
She is an Associate Teaching Staff (SEP) at the Hellenic Open University in the “Adult Education (Med)” Master’s Program.
She has participated in a number of primary school educational programs. She has also worked as an educator in adult training programs.
Her research interests focus on pedagogic theories, on the assessment and practice of the educational process, on adult education and more specifically on the cultural, critical and psychoanalytic dimensions of adult learning.
